The Escanaba & Lake Superior Railroad (E&LS) operates a state-of-the-art railcar repair and paint facility in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, with locations in Escanaba and Wells. Since 1991, E&LS has serviced thousands of railcars, including specialized boxcar conversions. The facility features an advanced blast, paint, and stencil building, designed for efficient, high-quality, and environmentally safe production. Our M-1003 certified Quality Assurance Program meticulously tracks materials and processes to ensure full compliance with AAR standards, as well as federal, state, and local regulations, including stringent environmental requirements.
